Launched in April 2009, StoodThere is a social utility that helps people communicate their favourite places and events in the world, great or small, through the medium of simply list creation. The most popular list at present being the 100 Greatest Places to stand on the planet.

StoodThere is a privately-held website with its founders, James Black, Ciaran Bradley and Sam Greenhalgh residing, and originating, in very different parts of the United Kingdom.
